Features: Available on DVD, "The Proposal" is a comedy about a workaholic, sophisticated woman who needs a green card. A Canadian citizen, Margaret is an overpowering person who forgot to renew her visa for working in the United States. Her only option is to ask her rather meek male secretary to marry her for the ability to stay in the country. He takes her to meet his family in rugged Alaska. They are a quirky bunch that doesn't know that the marriage is a sham. They treat the boss, played by Sandra Bullock, like she is family and warmly welcome her. Not long after the scam starts, the boss realizes that she is actually in love with her secretary. Humorous scenes in "The Proposal" includes Bullock trying to climb down a dock ladder and board a boat in high heels and the grandmother, played by Betty White, doing an Native American ceremonial dance. "The Proposal" also stars Craig, T. Nelson, Ryan Reynolds, and Mary Steenburgen. The DVD has a lot of special features, such as deleted scenes, an alternate ending, and commentary on the movie. "This comedy is available with subtitles in French and Spanish.
