Cobra XRS 9690 15 Band Radar detector
Features: Cobra's XRS 9690 digital radar/laser detector provides top-notch protection you can count on. It detects 15 different bands at long range and identifies the signals quickly. It will show you if any of 7 radar, 6 laser, or 2 safety signal frequencies are in use in the vicinity, and its 360-degree laser coverage and POP instant-on radar alerts provide additional safeguards. It also detects nearby strobe lights and safety alert transmitters to indicate when emergency vehicles and safety zones are approaching.
The XRS 9690 also provides total immunity to VG-2 and Spectre I radar detector detection devices and gives you a heads-up when they're in use nearby. It even tells you when advanced Spectre IV+ technology is being used to detect your Cobra.
Easy-to-read text display
The XRS 9690 features a DigiView text display that provides instant access to vital information at a glance. The easy-to-read screen shows you alphanumeric alerts for the specific bands of radar detected, as well as the strength of each signal. The display features three-levels dimming for night driving and a dark mode.
Handy extras
The XRS 9690 features three city modes to reduce false alarms in densely populated areas. Its intelligent muting control uses relative speed measurements to keep false audio alerts to a minimum. It can power off automatically to save the battery when you turn off your car, and the built-in memory remembers your settings for an indefinite amount of time without power.
The useful built-in 8-point electronic compass provides an added degree of guidance. The XRS 9690 also features an auxiliary audio jack so you can send the audio alerts to an external speaker to help overcome road noise.
