Avocent DSRIQ dongles permit users to extend VGA video and PS2 keyboard & mouse based computers up to 10 meters away from the DSR Digital KVM over IP switch with use of UTP cabling. Also referred to as Server Interface Modules or SIMs, DSRIQ-PS2 dongles store unique server identification for easier configuration and provide constant keep-alive emulation. Users will also benefit with a reduction of bulky cable clutter within server cabinets when implementing the DSR KVM over IP solution.
